I heard this song for the first time on the radio a couple weeks ago. What's weird is that is sounds almost exactly the same as another song I know. It's called "Baby I'm Yours" by a weird French group called Breakbot. Super obscure song a friend recommended by an artist most people have never heard of. But take a listen to both Breakbot's song and then listen to Bruno Mars' song. They are undoubtedly similar and I feel like there was a little copycat action going on here. Breakbot's song came out in 2010 and Bruno Mars' came out this summer. It's pretty obvious who copied who. And I'm not the only one who's noticed. Comments on YouTube almost confirm that Bruno copied the song. Give them a listen back-to-back to convince yourself!
Which do you like better? Do you think artists should be able to get away with this sort of thing?
I'm a hustler. Not the kind that takes money and stuff, but the kind who's a fan of All Time Low.

I'm a student on the west coast studying Environmental Engineering. I've always had a passion for the environment as well as learning in general, so tackling a degree of this intensity felt natural. Through a few classes I've pretty much confirmed that this is what I want to do. Not only do I like the material...I get paid big buck$ right out of school.
Besides school, my life revolves around music. I play it, listen to it, and live it. I was in band for 8 years where I played alto saxophone and clarinet. After high school, I tried learning guitar and that's still a work in progress. As far as listening goes, I love lots of different genres and bands. I like pop (some), pop-punk, punk, rock, post-hardcore, alternative, and pop-rock. Bands besides All Time Low that I listen to are A Day To Remember, Fall Out Boy, Pierce The Veil, OneRepublic, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Blink-182, and tons of others. It's kind of eclectic.
Please drop me messages or comments. I hope to be blogging about bands and whatnot on here. Maybe fashion a little. Who knows.
