So Tuesday, September 17th, I got to go to the House Party Tour in Seattle, and now I'm going to tell you all about it because IT WAS MY FAVORITE SHOW I'VE EVER BEEN TO. Prepare your body.
In the afternoon, I went and picked up my friend. We met on Twitter and she lives 10 minutes from me, so we decided to go to the show together and with another friend we met online. None of my other friends really like this type of music so being able to go with people just as passionate about it as I am was so rad.
My friend (Alex) and I, both got All Time Low Hustler Club meet and greet, so we didn't have to worry about getting in line early. We waited for a bit then Matt Flyzik came and gave us the M&G spiel. And then, the boys came out!
First up was the lovely Jack Barakat. I had Adam Elmakias pictures of each of them to sign, so he signed his. Then we got a picture and I asked him for a hug. He's probably one of the nicest people ever and is so easy to talk to. Got all my nerves out :)
Then was Zack. He hugged Alex for like 2 minutes straight and it was adorable. He signed my picture and then we took our picture. And he thanked me with a super sweet smile. What a guy.
Alex, for me, was the most special. First, I showed him the picture of him holding my signed drawing that my friends got me in San Diego. He remembered it and said "That's a really good drawing!" After he signed my picture I said, "I just wanted to thank you for writing the music that go me through the past few months" and he said, "Thank you so much for saying that." He probably could tell that my voice was cracking as I told him because I felt like I was going to cry. We got a picture and I was gonna get a hug but I forgot.
Last was Rian! The last time I had THC M&G, he left early and I didn't get to meet him! So I told him! Our convo went something like this:
Me: "Rian! Last time I had meet and greet you left early and I didn't get to meet you!"
Rian: "Well why did I do that? That doesn't sound like me!"
Me: "I don't know you tell me!"
He signed my picture and said "This is a cool picture! Thank you for buying that!"
Aw. Rian. You're so nice and handsome in person.
We didn't get early entry since ATL didn't headline, but we got to be put in our own little separate line. Because of the separate line, we were some of the first people in and Alex and I got BARRICADE! It was my first time ever getting barricade and it was so fun. It's not for the faint of heart because you get beat up quite a bit but it was so cool.
Shout out to the security guard in this picture who actually smiled, laughed at ATL's jokes, gave us water, and talked to us. Also, shout out to the girls around us at barricade who asked if we were okay, talked to us in between sets, and were just generally cool to be around.
Also shout out to the crew for keeping the show on time. Like perfectly on the money. It was great and it was all because of you guys for getting shit done and getting it done well. Buzzmaker Danny Kurily was there as usual guitar tech-ing for ATL. Check out his blog on Buzznet if you haven't already.

I CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE BUT IT WAS LIKE 25 SONGS AND IT WAS INCREDIBLE.
So the Wonder Years went first and they were great. I know mostly songs from their newest album, so I couldn't sing along that much, but they are great live.
Pierce The Veil was next. I was super excited up until fan girls crushed us against the barricade and screamed in our ears. Also, a super drunk PTV fan sloppily pressed her whole body against me, kicked my heals, punched me in the head twice, and elbowed the poor girls next to me. We got her taken out after PTV left, but besides that, THEY KILLED IT. I love those guys and I enjoyed this set more than the last time I saw them.
NEXT WAS ALL TIME LOW. Alex and I screamed the words to every song and it was the most free and most enjoyable set of theirs I've ever experienced because I was there with someone just as obsessed with them as I am. We were in front of Zack the whole time but Jack came over for seriously half the show. He would crouch down and Alex and I would point and scream the lyrics at him. He would point at us and sing the words too. He pointed at me so many times becasuse I was super into the set. He tossed a pick near us then crouched down by me and pouted because I think he meant to throw it at me/he wanted me to have it. I thought he would come back to give me one but he didn't. Oh well. It was so fun, I can't get over it. It was my favorite time seeing them by far.
Alex and I left the barricade for ADTR's set to get water and merch. I was worried she hadn't had enough to drink which is the main reason I decided to leave. She passed out at another show. NO BUENO.
We sat with some of Alex's friends at the beginning of ADTR's set, but then I decided I really wanted to be in the crowd so I went in by myself. I'm so glad I did and when it was all said and done, I wished I would have stayed at the barricade. ADTR was so good. I had a good time in the back though. I won't spoil all the cool things that go on but one of the main things was the staging and Jeremy McKinnon coming out in a hamster ball. I got to push it so I'm pretty happy.
So that's basically it! I met some really great people last night and had a freaking amazing time.
Are you making it out to see TWY, PTV, ATL, and ADTR this fall???
